Su-jin, on a regular basis, enjoys traveling alone. While going through busy days of studying for a career transition and leaving her job, she came across the news of the "Smart Tourist City, Gyeongju" Tourist Model Contest. Feeling that Gyeongju would be a wonderful place to have some healing time alone, she decided to take on the challenge. The travel concept was "A Solo Healing Trip." Su-jin planned to relax, heal, and recharge through a solo journey in Gyeongju.
Perfect timing, as Su-jin had just completed a challenging project, and the late autumn in Gyeongju was beautifully unfolding. Sensing that it was the perfect opportunity for some much-needed rejuvenation, Su-jin set off for Gyeongju. This academy was built in honor of Hoejae Lee Eon-jeok, a Confucian scholar of the Joseon Dynasty.
In front of the academy, there is a picturesque Saesimdae, which combines a valley and Neoreokbawi Rock. It is a popular destination for summer vacations and autumn foliage enjoyment. The single wooden bridge at Sesimdae is a popular photo spot.

Dokrakdang Pavilion, harmonizing with the surrounding valley, provides a pleasant escape from the summer heat and offers charming scenery during the autumn days. You have the option to walk along the mountain trail from Oksanseowon Confucian Academy or take a separate road for vehicles.
