Gyeongju Express Bus Terminal and Gyeongju Intercity Bus Terminal
Getting from the Terminal to Downtown Gyeongju.
express bus ·
All train stations in Gyeongju have been relocated to the outskirts of the city, but the Gyeongju Express/Intercity Bus Terminal is within downtown Gyeongju.
There is only one bus stop (a 5-minute walk) difference between the entrance of Hwangridan-gil at Seorabeol Sageori, the back gate of Daereungwon Ancient Tombs, and Ancient Tombs in Noseodong. - You can walk to Jungang Market (10 minutes on foot), but you need to walk for more than 20 minutes to Seongdong Market and Cheomseongdae.
Since all city buses depart from this point, it is useful for independent travelers to keep in mind when planning their itineraries. This knowledge can help you easily navigate your routes and explore the city at your own pace.
- It takes approximately 20 minutes by city bus to travel from Gyeongju Station to the Gyeongju Express/Intercity Bus Terminal. If there are no direct bus routes or long intervals between bus services from Gyeongju Station to your destination, it is advisable to proceed to the terminal and transfer to another bus.
- Since many buses depart from the terminal, you can search for the bus that will take you to your destination once you arrive at the Gyeongju Express/Intercity Bus Terminal.
- From cities such as Pohang, Daegu, and Busan, it is generally more cost-effective and requires less travel distance to reach Gyeongju by express/intercity bus. Buses from these cities usually arrive in Gyeongju within one hour. While there may not be a significant difference in total travel time between taking a city bus from Singyeongju Station to downtown Gyeongju and directly arriving at the Gyeongju Express/Intercity Bus Terminal and traveling to major tourist attractions, there is a price difference.
