It belongs to the Fortress District of the World Cultural Heritage Gyeongju Historic Areas.
It is located at the entrance of the Bomun Tourist Complex. As a mountain fortress in the Silla Dynasty, it played an essential role in defending the eastern part of the capital city.
The circumference reached 6 km at that time, but now most have collapsed, and traces can be found only in some parts.
There is a historical record that Bidam raised a rebellion in this place during the reign of Queen Seondeok, and Kim Yu-shin and Kim Chun-chu subdued the uprising.
A few years ago, the entire wall was restored and maintained.
