Geumjangdae Pavilion is an observation pavilion where you can see the superb view of the Hyeongsan River and the city of Gyeongju at a glance.
It was named Geumjangdae after the name of Silla's temple Geumjangsa, which was located on top of the rock wall here. It was called 'Geumjang Nak-an' because of its excellent scenery, which means that flocks of geese flying away from Geumjangdae are sure to sit on the Geumjangdae, falling in love with the magnificent view. The pavilion was reconstructed in 2012.
Take a leisurely walk along the promenade and take a photo with the ferryboat as a background, a popular photo spot.
