Tongiljeon Shrine was built to honor the achievements of the unification of the three kingdoms of Silla and to pray for unification and peace on the Korean Peninsula.
Inside the hall is a documentary exhibition depicting the process of unification, a gazebo pavilion, and a small peg and a pavilion next to it.
In front of Tongiljeon Shrine is Gyeongju's most popular autumn foliage viewing spot.
Gingko trees are lined on both sides of the 2 km-long roads. In autumn, you can walk or drive along yellow maple road in Gyeongju.
