Jungang Market has a history dating back to the early 1900s, and its modern form was established in 1983 with approximately 700 stores. Although it is operated as a permanent market, the tradition of the traditional five-day market remains, and a larger market opens on the 2nd and 7th day of every month. The night market on the north side of Jungang Market is particularly active, operating every Thursday to Sunday. Hanok-style vendors are lined up, and a variety of late-night snacks, including convenience foods, traditional Korean snacks, and international foods, are available.
*Night Market: Every Thu-Sun 18:00-23:00
*Closed: On the 1st and 15th day of every month
